NATURAL WAYS TO BALANCE YOUR HORMONES—week 1

Your body needs many different hormones for its various processes. Normally, your endocrine glands produce the precise amount of each hormone.

However, hormonal imbalances have become increasingly common these days. Additionally, certain hormones decline with age. Certain people experience a more dramatic decrease than others. Fortunately, when the following foods are part of a healthy diet together with other healthy lifestyle behaviors, you can improve your hormonal health, feel and perform better.

Natural Ways to Balance Your Hormones.

Cortisol and Insulin — “stress” and “blood sugar” hormones, respectively; they are usually the first hormones to become imbalanced. And when they do, they cause other hormones, including thyroid hormones, melatonin, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone to become imbalanced also, affecting the good functioning of the body.

As a result, you start experiencing symptoms such as sleeplessness, difficulty falling asleep, energy crashes, difficulty getting out of bed, emotional outbursts, you need a booster like caffeine to start the day and more caffeine or sugar in the midafternoon. These symptoms are telling you that your cortisol and insulin hormones are out of balance.

So, what are you to do?

The first thing to consider is a lifestyle change.

Cut back on alcohol and alcoholic beverages, caffeine, sugar, sugary drinks, and lose weight if you are overweight or obese.

The second thing is to exercise: exercise reduces insulin levels and increases insulin sensitivity.

High insulin levels have been associated with inflammation, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

Eat a healthy, balanced diet including the following foods: eat protein at every meal; drink 2-3 cups of green tea daily; consume healthy fats; consume fatty fish; consume a high fiber diet. Include in your diet Avocado, Broccoli, seafood, sea vegetables, kale, eggs, chard, spinach, Brazil nuts, flax seeds, and pomegranate

The 4th thing is to manage stress which can affect cortisol “the stress hormone”, and epinephrine. “The fight or flight” hormone.

  • 1 Cortisol helps your body cope with stress over the long term. But, if you are someone who experiences chronic stress it causes cortisol levels to remain elevated. When that happens, it can lead to excessive calorie intake and obesity, including increased belly fat
  • 2 As for elevated epinephrine levels, they can cause high blood pressure, rapid heart rate and anxiety.
  • 3 Elevated insulin levels
  • 4 High insulin levels have been linked to inflammation, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

See you in 2 weeks for a follow up on : Natural Ways to balance your hormones. Meanwhile, start implementing those pieces of advice and let me know about the noticeable differences you experience.

Feeling better and knowing better.

In addition to conducting a comprehensive health assessment, Dr. Norma created a personalized wellness plan, tracked my progress over time, and helped transform my health. I highly recommend her services.

I am Jeanne T. from NY.

Jeanne T, NY.

High Blood Pressure

We all have high cholesterol levels in our family. It's inherited. We have a genetic condition called familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). We tried statins, diet, and exercise. We had tried everything, and we were all living in fear of a stroke or heart attack until we met Dr. Norma. We began working together three months ago. In my most recent check-up, my cholesterol numbers were the best I've ever had.  My LDL is now 121 and my HDL is 72.

E.V, Brooklyn, NY

High Cholesterol

I am a 4'11" petite woman who weighs 120 pounds. Nevertheless, my cholesterol levels have always been high-275mg to 300mg. The statins my doctor prescribed did not work for long, and I was worried about side effects on my liver, kidneys, and heart. Calling the clinic, I made an appointment with Dr. Norma. We began working together that same week. It was a success. It has been two years.

Mary. S.

High Cholesterol

I was ill on and off for 3 years, vomiting in public places, experiencing bloating, constipation, and indigestion. Additionally, I was obese. I never received a diagnosis, but my stomach was very sensitive. I was told it must be my mind. I started feeling better after my first detox with Dr Francois. After 6 weeks on my personalized protocol, I stopped throwing up, experienced no indigestion, bloating, or constipation. I also lost 12 pounds. It's been five months now.

O. S, Brooklyn, NY

Chronic fatigue, heavy metal toxicity

I have diabetes and was diagnosed 5 years ago. I didn't want to take the meds because I am very allergic to chemicals in general. I've been seeing Dr. Norma and she has managed to help me keep my glucose and HbA1C normal.

D. L, NY

Renal disease

The work of Dr. Norma goes beyond treating symptoms. Her approach is to identify and treat the underlying causes of disease. In addition to lowering my blood sugar and HbA1C, she helped me manage the condition. It was two years ago. I cannot express how grateful I am.

A. L. , FL.

Fatty liver disease

I am Joe L. I live in New York. A prostate cancer diagnosis was made nine years ago. My world was turned upside down. I went into panic mode. So, I contacted Dr. Norma. During my first free 15-minute phone call, she explained the possible outcomes. We then began working together. After one year of treatment, I became cancer-free. I undergo a checkup every year, and my PSA level is excellent. I am in good health overall. Working with her has been a tremendous success. She is a health care provider I trust completely. I highly recommend her.

J.L, NY.

Prostate cancer

Although I weigh 115 pounds and am 4'11", my cholesterol was always high - between 335mg and 375mg. My doctor prescribed several statins, but none worked for long, and the side effects on my liver, kidneys, and heart terrified me. I contacted Dr. Norma. We started working together the same week. Following 10 weeks of working with her, my cholesterol levels dropped by 12 points. My cholesterol levels have continued to drop and now range between 140 and 148. It's been two years since I started. She's been wonderful.

Type II diabetes

For three years, I suffered from frequent sickness, vomiting in public, constipation, and indigestion. I was also overweight. I had a sensitive stomach, but the cause of my gastrointestinal problems remained unknown. At first, the doctor thought it was psychological. My symptoms improved following my first detox with Dr. Norma. Using my customized protocol, I experienced no more indigestion, bloating, or constipation. I also managed to lose 30 pounds. My experience has been positive.
